1.The effectiveness of aluminum heat sinks is not only affected by the material and manufacturing process, but also by the usage situation. After oxidation treatment, the radiator has a certain ability to resist corrosion and prevent the adhesion of corrosive substances, but it will affect its heat dissipation efficiency.
The oxidation and non oxidation of aluminum radiators have their own characteristics. Normally, if it is necessary to protect the surface of the radiator to a certain extent, oxidation treatment can be chosen.
2.The purpose of surface treatment for aluminum radiators is to achieve aesthetic and protective effects. Usually, aluminum alloy radiators are mostly made in silver white, which is the natural color of aluminum, and there are also black and golden colors. Among many colors, black has the strongest heat radiation ability. Without adding additional natural conditions such as fans or liquids, the heat dissipation efficiency of black is about 5% higher than that of silver white. Other golden colors are almost not helpful for heat dissipation performance, and sometimes adding color treatment to the surface can also reduce heat dissipation performance.
So, the surface treatment of the aluminum profile heat sinks we previously produced was silver white non glossy. However, in order to meet the user's requirements for the appearance of the aluminum profile heat sink, a glossy surface is needed. The upright column shape should not have scratches, and after the CNC high gloss process is completed, the column shape should be hollowed out to increase the heat dissipation area. However, during the hollowing process, the aluminum shavings scratch the surface slightly. Therefore, the chosen process is the best black oxidation.
