J705 Metal Geiger Counter Tube
The tube is a thin-walled halogen counter tube for detecting gamma ray intensity and can also be used to detect high energy beta ray. Used in nuclear radiation detection, oil logging, medical and health protection, atomic energy protection and military radiation protection.

The anode is located on the cathode axis, and the cathode cylinder or the conductive layer coated on the inner wall of the glass envelope forms a coaxial cylindrical structure with the anode. The outer casing of the counter tube is made of glass, and the metal is also used as a cathode. The tube is filled with an inert gas and a small amount of quenching gas.
The basic working principle is: the counter tube is connected to the test circuit, and a predetermined voltage is applied between the anode and the cathode, and the counter tube is already in a waiting state. When the measured radioactive particles enter the tube, it may cause a process of a cathodic discharge. Once the tube is "on", a voltage pulse is generated on the load resistor R1, which is fed into the counting circuit via the coupling capacitor Cco to achieve a count of the radioactive particles.
