Latex tube storage
Due to the natural nature of latex, the physical properties and performance levels of all latex products change. Changes due to several factors or a combination of several factors. Other materials used to reinforce latex tubes may also be negatively affected by inappropriate storage conditions. The following recommendations contain a series of precautions to maximize the prevention of aging of objects in storage.
1. Storage time of latex tube
A rotation planning system should be adopted to minimize the storage time of latex tubes. If long-term storage cannot be avoided and the following recommendations cannot be followed, the latex tube should be thoroughly checked before use.
2. Physical storage conditions
The storage of latex tubes must avoid mechanical pressure, including excessive stretching, compression or deformation, and avoid contact with sharp or sharp objects. Latex tubes are preferably stored on suitable racks or placed on dry ground. Coiled rubber tubes must be stored horizontally, and latex tubes should not be stacked. If stacking cannot be avoided, the stacking height should not permanently deform the latex tube underneath. As one of the regulations, try to avoid the latex tube winding around the column or hook.
3. Temperature and humidity
Recommended storage temperature: 10 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius. Note: Do not store latex tubes in temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius or below 0 degrees Celsius. Special care should be taken when moving latex tubes below minus 15 degrees Celsius. Latex tubes must not be stored in heat source accessories, and the relative humidity should not exceed 65%.
4. Exposure to heat
The temperature limits described in point 3 must be observed. If this is not possible, heat insulation should be used to protect the latex tube from heat sources.
5. Exposure to light
The storage room used to store latex tubes should be kept dark, especially to avoid direct sunlight or strong artificial light on the latex tubes. If the storage room has any openings covered by windows or glass, it should be covered.
6. Exposure to oxygen and ozone
Latex tubes should be properly packed or stored in closed containers to avoid exposure to air. No ozone-releasing equipment should be placed in the storage room. Ozone has a particularly strong influence on all latex products.
